Spring Fever, Sneak Peeks and Sales with Nyberg’s Ace Latest Email Campaign

The weather’s warm, the trees are budding, the flowers are blooming and we’ve all caught Spring Fever. And on that note,  Nyberg’s Ace in Sioux Falls, SD sent out their latest email campaign featuring deals on every accessory for Spring Fever. People could click on the flyer and water spout image to easily flip-through their four-page Spring Fever sales flyer featuring everything from garden supplies to bird feeders and grills. And at the bottom, the “view sale” button goes to the same flyer link.

This email campaign had really impressive results. More than 1,500 people opened this email, an 18 percent open rate. And there were 748 clicks on the links in this email campaign.

The most interesting stat on this campaign was what people clicked on. While 26 percent clicked on the Spring Fever flyer image, 64 percent clicked on the “view sale” button at the bottom to the very same link.

“Try it you’ll love it”: Pioneer Ace Paint Promotion

“Try it you’ll love it.” Who wouldn’t stop on this email campaign for Clark+Kensington paint from Pioneer Ace in Wahiawa, HI? Not only is this an effective opening line – and maybe I’m just a blue fan – but the email uses a sophisticated, cool blue interior image that creates an eye-catching email. And to lure customers in even more, the promotion features this great deal: “Free Paint Saturday.” Customers fill out the coupon on the bottom to receive a free quart of Clark+Kensington paint and Pioneer Ace receives new customer contact information for future promotions.

Alpine Ace Uses Bold Email Campaign to Feature New Kid’s Product

Alpine Ace Hardware in Aspen, CO highlighted a new product in their store, the Melissa and Doug wooden toy sets, by sending out an eye-catching eblast this week. The email campaign featured a playful design with bold colors, fun fonts and graphics and big photos of the popular wooden toys. And the sharp design was complimented with big, bold text that targeted the family customer base: “These Toys Make Great Birthday Presents!” The Facebook and email buttons at the bottom of the eblast also made it easy for customers to spread the word on Ace’s new product. The email campaign definitely caught many customers’ eyes; it had a 18% open rate and was opened by 400 people.  Click here to see the email campaign.

 

“LEAP Into Savings Sales” – A Clever Promotion for Leap Day

Nyberg’s Ace in Sioux Falls, SD came up with this clever promotion for Leap Day: 29% off any purchase of $29 or more on Leap Day, Wednesday, Feb. 29. The out-of-the-box approach was well-received with their local customer base. The email campaign was opened by 1300 customers and had a 18% open rate – a very successful campaign for this popular Ace store. Click here to see the email campaign.

“Spring Fever Sale” – Using Email Campaigns with Digital Ad Flyers

McLendon Hardware in Renton, WA used this email campaign to direct their customers to their spring advertisement promotion: an eight-page flyer made into a flip-through document easily viewable on a computer, iPad or smartphone. Here’s an example of the digital flyer:

The Washington-based hardware chain had more than 4,000 customers open the email and more than 1,500 customers click on the flyer link. That means five percent of McLendon’s contact list clicked on their ad promotions – double the average of normal click-through rates! Click here to view this email.

“Have a Heart for Children” – Using email to fundraise for a local hospital

Ace Cherry Creek, Denver, CO recently offered their customers a chance to support their local children’s hospital – The Children’s Hospital in Aurora, by asking customers to make a donation for a “Have a Heart and Win” icon, and in turn, receive a $5 off coupon off their next purchase of $20 0r more, and a chance at winning a $1,000 shopping spree.  Click here to view the email.

FootSteps Best Practices: The most successful email campaign ever!*

The case study that was just posted to this website demonstrates the power of effective email marketing!  Colorado-based Alpine Ace (Aspen, Carbondale, Clifton and Redlands) launched an interactive “The 12 Days of Christmas” email campaign mid-December to their email subscribers at all 4 stores.  As you will see from the case studyit worked!

Basically, Alpine entered the very busy seasonal marketing frenzy and managed to break through the clutter to get their message read and acted upon.  How?  Great deals, variety of products and discounts, and they got the tone and timing of their message just right.  They sent out 2 emails over 8 days and had an incredible open rate of over 30%.  That was matched with the customer looking at each of the coupons at a rate of over 10% each time.  The end product: 600 in-store redemptions.
